Welcome to Our New Pastors & Heartfelt Farewell to Pastor Ray Moaga and Family

Dear Springwood,

We are delighted to share the wonderful news that we are welcoming two new pastors, Pastor Dayne Habermann (Lead) and Pastor Graeme May (Associate), to our Springwood church community in 2025! We are thrilled to have them join our team, bringing their unique gifts, perspectives, and passion for ministry to help us grow and deepen our faith journey together.

Pastor Dayne and Pastor Graeme each bring a wealth of experience, compassion, and dedication, and we feel truly blessed to welcome them into our church family. They are eager to meet each of you, get to know our community, and work together. Let us warmly welcome them as they begin this new chapter with us, ready to serve and walk alongside us in faith.

At the same time, we say a fond farewell to Pastor Ray Moaga and his family. We are deeply grateful for their service, love, and commitment to our congregation. They have been a source of inspiration, guidance, and faith, leaving an indelible mark on our church family. We wish them all the best as they embrace new opportunities and continue to share God’s love wherever they go. They won't be going to far as they have chosen to stay at Springwood and still be a part of our wonderful community.

Please join us in welcoming Pastor Dayne and Pastor Graeme with open arms and in thanking Pastor Ray and family for their faithful service. May God’s grace guide us all in this exciting season of growth and change.

In faith and gratitude,

Springwood Pastoral Team

Dayne Habermann (Lead Pastor)

Hi Springwood Church,

I am truly excited to join this vibrant church community as your new senior pastor. Before answering my call to ministry, I spent over a decade as a civil engineer, a background that has equipped me with valuable skills and insights that I now bring to my pastoral role. My wife, Bianca, and I have been happily married for 14 years, and we are blessed to be the parents of two wonderful children: our 13-year-old son, Levi, and our 10-year-old daughter, Sophia.

In my free time, I enjoy cheering for the Brisbane Lions, Chelsea Football Club, and the Los Angeles Clippers. Additionally, I am currently completing my masters degree, where I am delving into the implications of Paul's teaching on the righteousness of God for better understanding the great controversy.

My passion in ministry is to serve the local church in living out the Kingdom of God in faithful and innovative ways within the community to make disciples for Jesus as we anticipate his soon return. I am excited to embark on this journey with all of you, and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you.

Blessings,

Dayne Habermann

Graeme May (Associate Pastor)

Graeme loves being a follower of Jesus, dedicated to helping others find freedom in Him. Married to Daniella, who serves as the Women's Ministry Director in our conference, Graeme is a devoted family man. Together, they have two wonderful children: Blake, an intern pastor at Ipswich Church, who is married to Nadine, and Jessica, a counsellor living on the Central Coast of NSW.

Graeme and his family live in Ormeau Hills, where they share a love for road trips, exploring the vast beauty of Australia, camping, 4WDing, and boating. Before transitioning into ministry, Graeme’s career was marked by a diverse range of experiences, from the earth-moving industry to marketing and tour guiding. With a heart for service to church and community, in September 2014, he answered a divine call to ministry that has become his life's mission.

Graeme believes deeply in Jesus relevance for everyone and sees it as his calling to make Jesus tangible for those seeking Him. If you're on a journey to discover Jesus, Graeme would be honoured to walk alongside you.
